About the Job
- The primary objectives of the Execution Consulting Analyst is to provide help in optimizing client execution strategies by offering expert guidance on algorithm and parameter selection, and conducting in-depth market microstructure research. The position is key to developing and refining trade analysis tools and performance metrics to assess execution quality. The team in Lisbon team sits within the DEC business line and supports the Low Touch listed derivatives electronic execution activity for both BNP Paribas customers and external customers globally.
Your Main Activities Are
- Offer expert guidance on the selection of appropriate algorithms and parameters to enhance trading performance
- Design and generate data extracts for Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) and market microstructure research. Enhance the Execution Consulting data analytics and tools platform
- Work closely with colleagues in London to ensure alignment and share best practices
- Develop and maintain performance metrics related to execution quality, ensuring clients have actionable insights on their flow
- Suggest and implement improvements to trading algorithms based on performance analysis and client feedback
- Provide regular feedback on how the algorithms are performing against their execution criteria
- Conduct comprehensive research on market microstructure to inform trading strategies and improve execution outcomes
- Present analysis findings to external clients, ensuring clear and impactful communication
Profile and Skills to Success
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Machine Learning, or Computer Science)
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: RStudio, Python, SQL
- Fluency in English
- Experience handling and analysing large real-world datasets
- Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
