Job Title: Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst
Department: F&RS - ISPL
About Business line/Function: BES-Exchange Layer
Position Purpose: To ensure that the candidate performs Business analysis and Project Management activities for the Application by catering to approved business requirements and project requests provided by finance teams within a banking environment.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Analysis of interface requirements, business processes and identification of key risks and issues
- Preparation of detailed functional specifications for delivery to IT
- To coordinate closely with the IT team to ensure understanding of functional specifications by IT team and provide functional support, follow-up development plan, monitor change requests
- Liaise with IT and business areas to resolve outstanding risk and issues
- To understand & prepare detailed testing requirements (test plan & test cases being prepared by other teams) and participate in the testing phases (integration, regression…)
- To gather Test Data from various sources
- Conducting and coordinating system and user acceptance testing
- Liaise with other organizational and technical teams in the operational and financial areas
- Managing the project lifecycle against recognized project management methodologies, and plan, track and report progress of projects
- To provide support to operations from a functional perspective, and undertake M&E activities for the current catalogue of feed processes, as required.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Technical:
- Good knowledge of Accounting concepts, General Ledger and Capital Market Good understanding of the products used by an Investment Bank Foreign, Interest Rates derivatives, securities, Repos, Credit derivatives
- Comfortable with basic office tools (Lotus Notes, MS Word, Outlook)
- Excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
Behavioral:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proven organizational skills with excellent multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Good systems skills, good understanding of IT databases (although programming skills are not required)
- Good documentation skills
- Ability to work independently
- Commitment to project deadlines, sense of drive and urgency
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate and relate easily with IT and Finance Project stakeholders
Specific Qualifications:
MBA in Finance, Master in Commerce, Bachelor in Science, Chartered Accountant
