Job Title: Vice President Asset Finance – Energy, Resources, & Infrastructure
Location: 787 7th Avenue, New York, NY 10019
Duties: Originate project and structured finance deals with a focus on Latin America Infrastructure & Energy. Finance documentation and closing processes, interface with counsels (both New York and local Latam ones), and negotiate deal points and legal documentation with clients. Lead and Supervise team work on due diligence processes including market projections on Latam energy prices, technical and insurance, amongst others. Manage small deal teams (based in NY and/or Latam) and lead internal and external transaction processes. Structure and advise on best structures and products to achieve the clients’ goals in their Latam development. Structure and close banks, project bonds, private placements and/or Multilateral A/B financings that are all relevant sources of financing in Latam markets. Execute lead arranging and advisory assignments with limited recourses or structured financings. Prepare credit proposals that include sound credit and risk analysis. Supervise credit approvals and the due diligence process. *Telecommuting permitted 40%: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the BNP Paribas office in New York, NY. Travel required 10% to US, Europe, and Latin America.
SALARY: $176,571 - $235,000 / year
Work Schedule: 9am to 5pm, 40 hours a week. (Monday – Friday)
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or Foreign Equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field and six (6) years of experience in job offered or related role. Must have six (6) years of experience with the following: experience in the finance, infrastructure, or energy sectors; and experience with Project Finance Structuring and/or Structured Finance deal execution experience at a major financial institution, corporation, consultant or rating agency (including credit and documentation negotiation, credit applications, modeling, and due diligence). Must have four (4) years of experience with the following: experience with credit, financial analysis, quantitative, and modeling; and training and managing junior staff on financial modeling, due diligence. Spanish language proficiency required.
