The Sourcing and Procurement department at BNP Paribas Fortis is a key actor of the bank’s operational efficiency. Through its expertise, we meet the goods and services’ needs of the business lines, all while extracting the maximum value from our supplier base.

As a Senior Procurement Buyer, you’re responsible for:

• Analyzing and challenging the requirements of our internal clients, identifying spending patterns, cost-saving opportunities, and improving procurement efficiency in line with procurement performance targets. 
• Conducting market analysis and formulating a procurement strategy both on specific topics as pre-defined Categories. 
• Launch qualitative Sourcing trajectories, challenge proposals and select supplier solutions which offer right value for money. Present and defend the results to the decision committee with Business, Finance and Procurement representatives. 
• Negotiating contracts, with the help of our Contracting department, ensuring that they contain all the necessary regulatory requirements with an objective to reduce the risk maximally. 
• Actively participating in supplier management processes such as steering committees, supplier risk and performance assessments to ensure maximum compliance to the contract
• Cultivating sound relationships with our key suppliers (Supplier Relationship Management)

YOUR TALENTS AND COMPETENCES

To match this role and thrive, it is important that you possess the following skills and qualities:

• You communicate with ease and your negotiation skills are well established. You challenge the internal client needs, know how to run high quality RFP’s and you are able to close deals in direct negotiation. 
• You’re an experienced project manager, with good analytical and reporting skills
• You have real affinity with and several years of experience in the domain Professional services (ex: Consulting, Human Resources, Marcom, …) and Banking (ex: Digital banking, Cards, Payments & Schemes,). Next to this you understand the importance of corporate social responsibility and circular procurement
• You have a detailed understanding of the main commercial and contractual models and the underlying cost drivers applicable digitalin Banking & Professional services.
• You’re familiar with legal, contractual risk & compliance, and procurement norms at the level of a strict regulated environment, like the banking sector. 
• You’ve acquired several years of experience in procurement, with suppliers in the Professional Services and Banking domain where you are familiar with terminology like Saas, Cloud, Outsourcing, DORA, ICT, IT security.        
• You’re fluent in French and Dutch and have a very good command of English (written and oral)
• Autonomy, commitment and perseverance in managing your own procurement files. 
• A team player who is eager to learn from others and open to share knowledge with others 
• Microsoft Office has no secrets for you, and more particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
