Job Title: Assistant Vice President – DaaS – Project Manager

About Business line/Function: 

The role sits within the Program STAR in DAAS department within Client Delivery of BNP Paribas Securities Services. Data As A Service (DAAS) is a service offered by BNP Paribas to solve some of the data challenges our clients have by providing an enriched view of their investments. This involves taking feeds from external data administrators and custodians and supplementing these with interfaces allowing proxies, look through, supplementary market data and application of business rules and controls. This ultimately gives clients their investment data in the format and with the detail they need to effectively support their investment process and decisions

Position Purpose: 

The role is for an opening in a service delivered by BNP Paribas to clients, based on ‘DaaS’ (Data as a Service). This allows BNP Paribas to solve some of the data challenges our clients have by providing an enriched view of their investments. This involves taking feeds from external data administrators and custodians and supplementing these with interfaces allowing proxies, look through, supplementary market data and application of business rules and controls. This ultimately gives clients their investment data in the format and with the details they need to effectively support their investment process and decisions.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  • Manage the roadmap, plan delivery and capacity, and keep stakeholders and the client informed with clear, effective documentation.
  • Coordinate collaboration between the IT/Ops team and product stakeholders.
  • Propose and implement appropriate governance for the migration strategy, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure a high level of support from NeoXam.
  • Communicate all cost figures related to the migration and provide details on the current production environment and the transition to the new data access solution.
  • Help define the migration backlog together with the project team and the NeoXam implementation team.
  • Contribute to designing the operating model
  • Continuously adapt and update the client migration strategy in response to new developments and events.
  • Manage arbitration and conflict resolution among stakeholders.
  • Oversee client interactions, especially during the parallel run phase, ensuring smooth coordination.
  • Monitor the client specific roadmap and work to reduce customizations, thereby promoting standardization.
  • Schedule and coordinate release planning so that delivery timelines are met.
  • Lead and organize meetings, providing support materials and distributing minutes promptly.
  • Deliver migration updates across various governance forums (e.g., steering committee, control committee).
  • Communicate roadmap changes to external departments and keep them informed of progress.
  • Engage with local operations teams and other stakeholders to establish the appropriate organizational structure.
  • Attend client meetings when needed to represent the project and convey its status.
  • Inform external departments about the specific products slated for migration and present a gap analysis that covers functional, process, and cost differences between the legacy and new production environments.

  • Follow up of the development delivery of products and solutions specifics by clients.
  • Follow up of the specific developments to assure the consistency of the client’s requirements and the planning of delivery

  • Proven Project Management skills
  • Should have managed and led transitions in a similar setup (Securities Services) either in a captive / third party environment and transitioned Operations from overseas to India
  • Strong interpersonal communication and coaching skills, capable of explaining, teaching, training in a highly effective manner
  • Strong People Management skills

 

Specific Qualifications:

  • PMP / Prince 2 / ACP certified (highly preferred)
