Job Title: Java Expert Tech Lead

Position Purpose:
The technical leader is a member of the development team who is responsible for the code of applications in each product.
He/she oversees or carries out the design and production of quality software solutions in accordance with the best practices (maintainable, secure, documented, scalable, testable and in line with the business line’s needs). He/she provides application support.
As a technical leader, he / she will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the applications using Java and Angular for both internal and external users.
This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional IT and Business teams to deliver robust software solutions that meet business needs. The ideal candidate needs to be proficient in both front-end and back-end development, automated testing for high performance, scalable applications.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Lead and control the design, development, and delivery of technical solutions for project/tribes
- Define and maintain architectural standards, best practices and coding guidelines
- Oversee the work of the development team, providing support and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers (in ISPL and BPLS)
- Deliver solutions (predominantly code) to a high standard in line with requirements, measured by minimal defects
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and help team members overcome technical challenges.
- Provide technical guidance and help developers grow their skills.
- Share technical knowledge to enhance collective efficiency.
- Contribute actively to the process of continuous improvement and innovation
- Ensure the quality of delivered solutions by supporting testing phases and addressing identified non-conformities.

Contributing Responsibilities
- Ensure that technical documentation, development tools and technologies used are up to date.
- Participates in the hiring process, assessing candidates’ technical skills and facilitates their onboarding and training with the team
- Contribute to cross team alignment by sharing knowledge, documentation and best practices
- Take an active role in defining database structures and caching to deliver optimal solutions in conjunction with a working on knowledge of the full technical stack (this will include automated functional and performance testing approaches / tools).
- Promote DevOps culture, tooling, and continuous delivery practices.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Java Development (Versions 17 to 24)
- Strong Knowledge of Springboot, JMS
- Strong knowledge of Oracle or another SGBD
- Knowledge of CI/CD & DevOps (Git, Gitlab / GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, DevSecOps)
- Strong knowkedge Cloud : Kubernetes, Terraform, dMZR As Code if possible (deployment, security and monitoring)
- Knowledge of Micro-services and distributed architecture
- IA for Dev
- Figma
- Front-end: Angular, ReactJS, JSP.
- Application security (CVE, XSS).
- Ability to analyze complex problems and propose robust technical solutions
- Advanced proficiency in Java Programming, Software architecture and Project Leadership
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, adapted to technical and non-technical audiences
- Leadership and the ability to inspire and guide technical teams
- Problem solving mindset with a proactive and pragmatique approach
- Collaboration and teamwork
- Have proper communication with the Business. (English language)
- Have good knowledge regarding deployment/versioning tools (Git, Jenkins, SonarQube…)
- Have good knowledge on project tracking software (Jira, Confluence, QC, …)
- Have good knowledge regarding monitoring tools (Centreon, Dynatrace, …)
- Have a strong background in SQL language and be able to check some test cases on his own directly by launching some SQL requests on the different databases
- Mentoring attitude and willingness to support others’ growth
- Nice to have: Liferay (portlets, Service Builder, OSGi).
Language: Fluent English.
- Specific Qualifications: 10+ years in Java development, including technical leadership.
