Position Purpose

  • To manage a portfolio of Chinese corporate client accounts and to render top-quality service to clients
  • To solicit business opportunities and maximize profits to the bank through new client’s prospection, cross selling, and cultivation of existing portfolio
  • To monitor the credit quality of the portfolio
  • To comply with the guidelines as laid down by the Bank to avoid any irregular transactions that may result in losses or damage to the Bank


Key Responsibilities


1.    New client’s development and origination of business opportunities to achieve budget and business objectives of the team & the bank;

2.    Marketing:

  • To solicit new business opportunities to the Bank
  • To cross sell the Bank’s products
  • To maintain or develop relationships with existing clients so as to maximize the profitability from the relationship
  • To provide quality services to clients 

3.    Credit Control

  • To assess the credit risks associated to the client’s industry, operation and financials
  • To closely monitor the account conduct of the clients to detect any adverse development
  • To ensure timely renewal of credit file due for credit assessment

4.    Administration :

  • To carry out various administrative duties in respect of client service, irregular referrals, statistics compilation etc.
  • To attend to and try to solve all problems referred by other stakeholders of the Bank or from the clients while protecting the interests of the Bank

5.    Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory authorities, audit requirements and established bank approved risk limits.


Ensure compliance with Bank’s policies/procedures and regulatory requirements, in particular with regards to the KYC responsibilities and duties, as per relevant policies and procedures, and the summary of responsibilities list attached hereto.


Competencies (Technical / Behavioural)

  • Sound credit analytical skills
  • Familiar with Chinese mainland regulations and rules in general
  • Fluent in English and Putonghua
  • Good teamwork spirit
  • Strong in communication and presentation skills
  • Ideally 2-3 years’ experience in related roles preferred
