CONTEXT
We are looking for a Legal Advisor for our Legal team, that is situated within BNP Paribas, Luxembourg Branch.

The Legal Advisor is a member of the Legal team of BNP Paribas Luxembourg Branch. Our Legal team is part of BNP Paribas LEGAL, which brings together lawyers with diverse skills around the world whose main missions revolve around the mastery of the Group's legal risk, the legal security of its activities and its leaders, the management of legal risks as well as appropriate controls. These missions are carried out while respecting the highest level of excellence and integrity.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
BNP Paribas Luxembourg Branch is strengthening its Cash Management offer. We are therefore looking for a Legal Advisor who can reinforce our legal services for Cash Management whilst also supporting our Investment Funds & Private Capital Departments, Market & Financing Services and Corporate Trust Debt Services.
The CIB Cash Management business offers an award-winning digitally enabled cash and liquidity management platform to corporate treasurers and finance professionals looking to manage efficiently their receivables, payables, foreign exchange and liquidity in a fast changing and dynamic environment. The Legal Advisor will work closely with the CIB Cash Management business, the BNP Paribas Group Cash Management Competence Center and the Cash Management Legal Practice Group and is mainly responsible for the following tasks:
- Conducting transactional activities alongside operational staff, negotiating and drafting treasury‑centralisation contracts (“cash‑pooling”) and bank‑electronic agreements that meet the complex needs of large corporate groups
- Providing legal support to the business for cross‑functional strategic projects that involve several European and/or international entities of the BNP Paribas Group
- Assisting the business in the creation and implementation of new banking products and services aimed at large corporate groups
These missions are performed in a highly international environment, both with respect to clients and the entities of the BNP Paribas Group involved.
In interaction with operational teams and support functions (Compliance, Risk, Tax, …), you will notably be responsible for:
- Offering legal support to operational and commercial staff on legal questions related to Cash Management products in an international context (treasury‑centralisation activities, account opening abroad, electronic banking, framework agreements with clients and partnerships linked to these banking services, electronic signature, contracts with service providers or subcontractors, etc.)
- Structuring, documenting and negotiating financing transactions, assisting on all security aspects of the transactions and structuring, documenting and negotiating pledge and collateral arrangements
- Coordinating with the Group’s legal advisors in different jurisdictions to harmonise the contractual documentation proposed by the Bank to its multinational corporate clientele
- Negotiating contracts with (including international) clients together with the Group’s legal advisors in different jurisdictions
- Drafting contract templates for the Cash Management services offered by the Bank
- Providing legal advice to the Business Lines, the Functions and the Management of the Bank in order to allow them to take a decision or to pursue their activities with full information on the legal impacts
- Contribute to the legal watch activities of the Bank in order to ensure that any legislation or jurisprudence that impacts the Bank is known by the relevant persons

- Your primary work location will be in Luxembourg city. After an initial period of 6 months, in agreement with your manager, you may have the flexibility to work 2 days a week from home or from our offices near the Belgian or French border.
- The position is also eligible for part-time work, offering you the balance and flexibility you need.

Are you our future Legal Advisor Cash Management?
Professional experience and/or degree
- You have a university degree in law
- An LLM and/or Cours complémentaires en droit luxembourgeois (CCDL) is an advantage
- You have at least 3 years of professional experience in banking/financial law, company law and/or international contract law
- A strong interest in digital/bank‑electronic solutions and new technologies would be a plus
