CONTEXT AND CHALLENGES

In order to support its fast growing business, the Global Trade Solutions (trade finance) department proposes the following position: 

Trainee – Trade Finance Assistant 

Duration : 6 months (subject to University / Business School convention)

The Trainee will support the day-to -activity of the team as well as development projects. 

Within Transaction Banking, BNP Paribas Trade Finance franchise is recognised as one of the world’s top three and the first in Europe according to various studies. The activity leverages on over 350 experts and a network of more than 100 dedicated trade centers across 60 countries, supporting clients to optimize, secure and/or finance their import & export ie international trade transactions worldwide

WHAT’S YOUR DAY-TO-DAY MISSION?

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Head of Trade Finance, the mission will be to participate actively to the daily commercial activities:

·       To actively participate to the daily management of the Trade Finance transactions, in direct contact with other BNPP entities and possibly clients: Trade Related Bank Guarantees , Export & Import Letters of credit ; Discounting of receivables, Payables Financing, Supply Chain Financing; Trade Collections

·       To contribute to the activity reporting and identification of new opportunities leveraging on client information, transactions or client database,  ….

·       To prepare internal and external presentations incl. commercial pitchbooks / proposals under the supervision of sales officers ;

·       Contribute to various projects (digital, process improvement, database management …)

ARE YOU OUR FUTURE Trade Finance Intern,

Professional experience and/or degree

·       Studies : Master or Advanced Master from a leading International University or Business School, specialized in Finance, Economics and ideally with some knowledge of International Trade Finance

Experience : 

training in a banking environment would be a plus

Technical skills: 

Economics, legal, banking, Corporate Financing, International Trade Finance

Soft skills:

rigor, dynamism, autonomy once given directions, team spirit

Language skills

Fluent in English and French – Any other language is considered as an advantage.
