BNP Paribas in its Securities Services business offers a wide range of services derived from the purchase and sale of financial instruments and units in investment funds, such as their settlement, custody, valuation, administration and financing and all financial transactions derived therefrom (dividend payments, capital increases, fund subscriptions and redemptions, etc.).


ABOUT THE JOB


MISSION

We are seeking a Junior Back Office to join our Depositary Services team in Madrid. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with operational teams to ensure the efficient administration of both Traditional and Private Equity Investment Funds. The role focuses on ensuring data integrity and operational accuracy through the management and validation of client data, the processing of buy/sell instructions and subscriptions, and the rigorous control of payments and settlements. Additionally, the analyst will leverage their knowledge of the Spanish market to assist clients in risk management and the prevention of operational incidents

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide support and deliver operational processes to ensure timely and accurate processing of securities. Ensure trade transactions are booked correctly in systems for clean downstream settlement.

-       Perform all BAU tasks in timely manner and according to procedures of ownership verification and record keeping

-       Support, follow up and ensure the ownership verification is done for all positions on time

-       Ensure proper monitoring of Service Level Descriptions and specificities agreed with clients

-       Monitoring of customer incidents and problems

-       Data management and record keeping

-       Completing tasks within regulatory compliance

-       ‘Client focus’ attitude to maintain a fluid relationship with clients that enable them to obtain their best service perception

-       Proactively communicate any cases that could be subject to escalation. Ensure that escalation flow is being respected

-       Being innovative through various proposals of process enhancements and their implementation,

 

-       Propose ideas and improvements, take initiative

REQUIREMENTS


  • Studies

-       Degree in related field of study (business admin. or similar)

-       Master on Finance or business school or equivalent will be a plus


  • Experience

-       Experience in finance or related positions is not required, but it will be value

  • Languages

-       English (minimum of level of B2, but C1 is a plus). French is also a plus


SKILLS

Technical

-       Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

-       Knowledge of Power BI (valuable)

-       Knowledge of AI prompting

-       Ability to work under pressure, within tight deadlines and with complex client requirements

-       Ability to collaborate and work in a team

-       Self-motivation, willingness to learn
