About BNP Paribas Corporate and Institutional Banking in Mexico
BNP Paribas Corporate and Institutional Banking has had a representation office in Mexico since 1966. Since then BNP Paribas has played an important role in financing Mexico’s development into the 21st century. BNP Paribas was one of the founders of Banco Nacional de Mexico (Banamex), one of Mexico’s largest banks, at the end of the 19th century, and stayed as a minority shareholder until the nationalization of the banking system in 1982. BNP was first established in Mexico more than half a century ago also acting as an important shareholder in Banco del Atlántico until 1982
BNP Paribas Mexico is expanding and has started operating in 2021 a full-fledged Mexican bank to better serve its clients through local operations performing local and global markets activities. Operations out of BNP Paribas Mexico include in particular trading and market making activities on interest rate derivatives, forex (spot and forward), bonds, repos and reverse repos on MBonos, UDI and Bonos. Responsibilities
Comply with all applicable regulations (local or those defined by Group) and BNPP internal policies, this includes but is not limited to Financial Security, Know Your Client/Costumer/Supplier, Due Diligence, Client Interest Protection, Market Integrity, Professional Ethics and Respect for colleagues.

Analyze and manage the functional projects of the business and support areas for current and future products of the Local Bank, through the accompaniment to define the functional needs on the corporate or local systems, their development and implementation, in search of automated processes in the areas, minimizing operational risks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the Business Analysis for local initiatives and projects.
- Build trusting and respectful working relationship w/ business sponsors, global development, & operational teams. Work with various users to clearly identify business requirements – from Front Office to Finance / Regulatory Reports.
- Effective communication w/ business sponsors, staff & ITO management.
- Participate in proposing functional solutions and formalizing requirements by drawing up the functional specifications.
- Ensure that system functionalities meet the user’s requirements.
- Provide the necessary support to development teams during the development phase and offer proposals for resolving any difficulties encountered.
- Draw up, carry out and review the acceptance testing scenarios.
- Ensure the approval of IT developments based on project needs.
- Take part in drawing up user documentation.
- Manage and spearhead the assigned Projects.
- Ensure that all projects follow the Group Policies and Procedure – including proper Project Governance and reporting to the various stakeholders including senior management.
- Leverage expertise and problem-solving skills to propose solutions during each phase of the project.
- Drive the delivery effort by maintaining project lists, organizing and leading working sessions, creating and distributing meeting minutes.
- Ensure clear communication of goals, budget, risks, efforts involved, KPIs, as well as on the progress of the project.
- Coordinate prioritization & assignment of enhancement pipelines across all products.
- Communicate & present solutions for project risks to Business & ITO management.
- Manage the relations and perform follow-up with local third-party vendors.
- Follow, comply and document group IT governance procedures.
- Ensure the adherence to group Governance policies applicable to ITO.

Competences and Experience
- Experience of 5 to 8 years with IT projects in the financial sector.
- Exposure to Trading and Operations (functional or in a project capacity), with knowledge of Global Markets activities, Compliance and Regulatory reporting framework as well as post trade activities (processing flows, clearing / settlement processes, etc.)
- Working knowledge of project management concepts, must have a good understanding of the project life cycle and what each phase implies.
- Documentation experience is essential (business requirements, process flows, procedures, GAP analysis).
- The ability to distinguish between tactical/short-term and more strategic/industrial concerns in designing a solution, as well as the ability to introduce innovative solutions where suitable.
- Must be able to manage situations of conflict and work professionally and efficiently with collaborators to find a solution.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent level of knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
