About Business line/Function:

ISPL Compliance Hub is focused on protecting the reputation of the Group and effectively managing risk across all business areas by providing support to various Compliance functions. At present, the department is broadly organized into divisions providing services for Global Compliance Training, Capital Markets Surveillance, Electronic Communication Surveillance, Compliance Migrations Co-Ordination, Personal Account Dealing, MIS and Projects management support. Position Purpose

We are looking for a permanent staff, to be based in Mumbai and support the CIB TSS (Transversal Services & Solutions) Data and Tooling team. The data Analyst will contribute towards Data Architecture Project Management, Tool development (i.e. Sharepoint).He will also support various other related activities like Data Visualization; Data governance (Documentation & Repository); Process Automation and reporting. This is an individual Contributor role.

Responsibilities

 

Direct Responsibilities

  • Data Architecture Project Management: Design and implement a secure, scalable data architecture aligned with CIB’s strategic objectives.
  • Data Visualization: Create user friendly interactive visualizations that meet stakeholder needs, ensuring insights are clearly communicated and support data driven decision making.
  • Documentation & Repository: Create and keep a comprehensive repository of data requirements, documentation and tools, ensuring it is up to date, accessible and transparent for stakeholders.
  • Process Automation: Evaluate and recommend automation for daily BAU processes within the scope of activities
  • Tool development: Sharepoint Workflows
  • Support the change management of the processes with the onshore teams including risk mitigation
  • Be able to bring objectivity to the review of latest technologies and analyse scalability and regulatory requirements while implementing new technology (e.g. AI, machine learning, blockchain and their relevance to compliance processes).

 

Contributing Responsibilities

  • Steer a compliance mindset and stay up to date with projects/tasks assigned, Manage Stakeholder expectations w.r.t assigned tasks
  • Deliver appropriate reporting content, KPI metrics to beneficiary and Local management, with continuity of reporting and transparency on actions as per agreed KPI
  • Proactively communicate with ISPL Management in case of challenges and bottlenecks.
  • Effective and timely communication (wherever applicable): Project status, BRDs, Solution Design Documents, Operating procedures, workflows, PPTs and promotional presentations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of data architecture, data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with applications such as Dataiku and SharePoint is essential.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Expert in SharePoint SE and SharePoint development, including workflow implementation and jQuery.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL and JavaScript.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning and AI concepts, including predictive analytics and natural language processing.
  • Knowledge of database structures, ETL processing, ability to write SQL queries and work with SharePoint.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent relationship building and communication abilities; capable of interacting effectively with staff and senior management.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and investigative capabilities; able to analyse complete data sets and recommend tactical and strategic solutions.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Compliance & Regulation: Understanding of data quality concepts, including profiling and data lineage.

Specific Qualifications (if required)

  • Minimum qualification is Graduation
  • Overall, 7 years’ experience for AM role and relevant years of experience as data analyst or Data scientist
  • Exposure and understanding of compliance processes such as Professional Ethics, Market integrity, Trade surveillance, AML & CTF, Sanctions, etc. is a great value addition
  • Knowledge of Business intelligence tools, Python, JIRA, Tableau, PowerBI, MS Office/365 and other similar tools used in Project management is desirable.
  • Self-driven, working knowledge of compliance control framework and Risk methodologies.
  • Professional training and Certification on Banking and Financial products, product development, and AI/ML will be an added advantage
