This partnership ranges from sharing the IT workload, executing global strategy to owning global applications offshore. Position Purpose: The position is for a senior developer in collateral management team. It requires hands on knowledge in coding. The person should have experience in designing full scale multi tier applications. Good knowledge of software engineering practices is a must to be able to coach and inspire other team members to drive for better quality coding. The person should be able to work on POCs to establish new features to be tried out in applications. Primary responsibility will be to design & develop the best solution that meets the functional needs while respecting the overall workflow of the existing application.

Direct Responsibilities

1. Design & develop the best solution that meets the functional needs while respecting the overall workflow of the existing application and following coding standards

2. Should have good understanding of RDBMS & NO-SQL dbs and their use cases to be able to use them

3. Be able to build features from scratch to demonstrate how frameworks function

4. Peer Review code to find out any bad practices.

5. Should be able to design service-oriented architecture using micro services

6. Escalation of barriers to progress via team leader in a timely and succinct manner.

7. Providing Technical guidance to other developers; assisting other team members in design related discussions

Contributing Responsibilities

1.      Reviewing current project design, identify drawbacks and propose performant, scalable designs

2.      Lay down standards for best practices for coding.

3.      Should have good exposure to application and/or database performance tuning.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

1.      Java 11 and above.

2.      Database development, SQL and Stored Procedures in Sybase or Oracle.

3.      Hibernate, Spring framework

4.      JUnit, mocking techniques (e.g., easymock, jmock, mockito,..)

5.      Experience with Architectural Paradigms like DDD, notions of division by domain/sub-domain, API First, Data Driven

6.      Knowledge of Integration Patterns - Event Driven Architecture

7.      Knowledge of Apache Camel/Kafka

8.      Experience with deployment models like modular, monolith and microservice 

9.      Experience with continuous integration like Jenkins and version control tools

10.   Knowledge of performance tuning of java applications

11.   Knowledge of Agile methodologies, e.g., TDD, XP, Scrum.

12.   Excellent communication skills 

13.   Be able to understand complex systems and take the initiative, to seek out and accept new responsibilities 

14.   Have drive, self motivation, good interpersonal skills, and work in a team
