What is this position about?

Located within the operating entities of BNP Paribas, the role of the OPC Analyst is to support the OPC team in ensuring the risk management framework is continuously implemented and adequately adapted in BP2S Australia and New Zealand. To achieve this objective, the OPC role supports BP2S Australia and New Zealand managers and works closely with 2LOD teams. 

 

The OPC Australia and New Zealand mandate is to support BP2S Australia and New Zealand managers in:

  1. The identification and assessment of risks; 
  2. The definition of a risk monitoring and mitigation framework.

 

The OPC Analyst reports hierarchically to the Head of OPC, Australia and New Zealand. 

 

The OPC perimeter includes all operational risks for 2S business processes performed in Australia.

 

 

 

 

Primary Role Responsibilities

 

The OPC Analyst is responsible for supporting the Head of OPC, 2S Australia and 2S OPC Managers in assisting with or owning: 

 

  • Undertaking daily / periodic administrative tasks;
     
     
  • Compiling reports and meeting decks;

 

  • Managing BAU incidents in adherence to global incident management procedures

 

  • Supporting significant incident management

 

  • Undertaking OPC control execution and testing

 

  • Assisting OPC Managers with their assigned work and responsibilities; 

 

  • Provide suggestions for improvements to procedures and processes; 

 

  • Build an awareness of 2S risk framework and policies;

 

  • Participation in initiatives including RCSA, ISAE 3402 audits, internal audits, global initiatives, local projects

 

  • Developing and delivering training

 

  • Other general duties

 

 

The OPC Analyst support of 2S Australia and New Zealand managers may include: 

 

  • Identifying and assessing risks they are exposed to and in defining a risk appetite;

 

  • Applying the corresponding risk monitoring and mitigation framework (including segregation of duties, controls and incidents management);

 

  • Ensuring the continuous implementation and adaption of this framework and improvement actions as required;

 

  • Ensuring awareness of risks and providing training on the risk framework;

 

  • Developing risk monitoring tools; and,

 

  • Ensuring transparent monitoring information to their reporting lines, the independent control functions, the governing bodies and the supervisors.

 

  • Supporting 2S business units with 2LOD reviews and outcomes

 

 

What is required for you to succeed?

 

  • Required: Relevant tertiary-level qualification 
  • Preferred: Knowledge and experience in financial services, including end-to-end process flows
