About Business line/Function: GBA is a central trade capture & booking system for all Global Markets business units managing PB, Arbitrage and GES trading activities. It is a global system designed to support multi-region using custom workflows. It uses a proprietary event based processing architecture to achieve the same.

Position Purpose: The role is for an excellent Java Developer to contribute to project for technical enhancement and functional changes within GBA application. The candidate will be working with highly motivated professionals who take pride in the quality of their output, and it is expected to continue. The person will be involved in the full Software Development Lifecycle applying Agile methodologies, tools and techniques. 

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

- Will be part of development & maintenance activities

- The person also has to take responsibility of release management activities on rotational basis

- Participate to IT support on a rotation basis

- Required to Interact with various stakeholders (BA, APS, QA, Users)

- Writing technical specifications

- Unit testing every produced or changed code

- Supporting User Acceptance Testing, proactively ensuring that the applications and the environment are in an optimal state, and promptly reacting to any issue or difficulty 

Contributing Responsibilities

- Exposure to Agile technologies

- Interest in Financial domain, mainly in Securities world (BO settlement, Swift)

- Willing to share knowledge and skills with other developers within the team

- Be self-driven, able to work under pressure, in a sometimes-challenging environment, and to work to deadlines.
