Position Purpose: The mission of Planning & Performance is to ensure a smooth flow of information between the stakeholders of its field and controlling, making transparency in all key figures for the stakeholders involved and thus bringing financial and functional needs in consistent.
The person acts as a strategic partner of IT management and supports operational as well as strategic corporate management. It ensures transparency in financial performance, identifies potential for improvement and actively contributes to achieving the company's goals. Plus, it combines financial expertise with business management understanding and high consulting competence towards the specialist departments.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
· The Planning & Performance ensures the planning process based on the budget and the forecasts for its department and implements it as an interface between Controlling and department.
- Economic calculations, price calculations, benchmark evaluations, data and statistical analyses plus ad hoc requests for reports are prepared, for example in the framework of the development of business cases.
· Candidate prepares the financial planning data for management and the department, communicates these and develops the cost planning with them.
· The results can be prepared in a way that is tailored to the needs and recipients for the specific presentations.
- Deviations between target and actual values within the framework of forecasting/planning shall be analyzed and commented on for the area of responsibility and inconsistencies shall be resolved.
- Ongoing control and ensuring cost control as well as data transparency, in particular regarding correct accounting of individual bookings in cooperation with Accounting.
- The KPIs for measuring performance are continuously developed further with the involvement of all relevant decision-makers.
- The use of resources for the provision of all services shall be controlled and advised upon in its selection.
- The functional and budgetary requirements are made consistent with each other.
- The financial optimization of the department shall be ensured in cooperation with the stakeholders.
· The area also ensures a continuous development of its processes and reporting structures.
Contributing Responsibilities
· The Planning & Performance is the first point of contact for Business Controlling and ensures with it the fulfillment of the controlling tasks in its field of expertise.
· Candidate works closely with the cost center managers of his department incl. n-managers and business managers to make planning & performance transparent and to help stakeholders in decision-making from a financial perspective.
· Candidate contributes to a continuous enrichment of knowledge of his stakeholders and advises the various teams with best practices and tools.
· Further important interfaces are Accounting as well as Tribe Data plus the Sourcing Hub.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
· Completed degree (e.g. economics, computer science, mathematics or comparable quantitative studies) and many years of subject-specific professional experience (e.g. controlling / performance management).
· Alternatively completed vocational training or completed training supplemented by additional certificates of expertise and long-term vocational experience.
· Expert knowledge in the required field.
· Detailed understanding of economic relationships within his field of expertise (market, IT, operations etc), ideally in an international environment.
· Very good analytical conceptual skills and ways of thinking as well as interest in complex, (un)structured data sets and high affinity to technical processes.
· Independent, structured and results-oriented working method, resilience as well as organizational skill and conscientiousness (routine handling of several inquiries in parallel).
Specific Qualifications:
· Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, expert knowledge of Excel, as well as experience with SAP CO/FI, IBM Cognos TM1 / Spotfire.
· Fluent German and very good English skills in speaking and writing.
· Knowledge of IT systems and data architecture respectively ability to quickly acquire these skills.
· At least 5 years of Exp in Finance planning
