Job Title: Assistant Manager –  UI Developer (Angular)

DepartmentCIB ITO - Production - Domain - Control Tower - Global Support Services

About Business line/Function: 

GSS – Global Support Services is a forward-looking Digital Command Center equipped to provide following “Support as a Services”: Primary services will include 24*7 Monitoring of production health in terms of End2End chains, event based Monitoring, incident classification/communication/escalation, Crisis & major incident management, predictive & trend analysis. GSS will also comprise of engineering team actively focusing on automating non-applicative redundant manual tasks & processes governed at CIB ITO production level.

Position Purpose: 

The role is a fulltime, UI developer strong in Angular, supporting AIenabled applications for the Global Support Services (GSS) team. The candidate will work under the guidance of senior engineers to design, build, test and maintain highquality, productiongrade software while receiving structured mentorship on machinelearning model integration, data pipelines, cloud services and datagovernance in a regulated banking environment.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities:

  • Design & develop responsive UI screens using Angular 14+ (RxJS, Angular Material).
  • Handson with REST API consumption using HttpClient, ability to read & understand SpringBoot services (even if not writing them), familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI docs, and basic knowledge of Spring Security (JWT/OAuth) for token handling on the UI
  • Implement unit tests and ensure code quality and code coverage
  • Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code that follows SOLID principles of coding.
  • Explore AI integration with existing and new applications under development.
  • Flexible working in both front end and backend technologies.

Contributing Responsibilities:

• Have a good understanding of the data flows and understand its lifecycle of source to destination.

• Pairprogram with senior engineers; receive mentorship on architecture and AI model integration.

• Participate in sprint planning, daily standups and retrospective meetings (Agile/Scrum).

• Raise and track issues via JIRA/ServiceNow following CIB incidentmanagement procedures.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Technical:

  • Good Hands-on experience in Angular 14+, TypeScript, HTML5/CSS3, RxJS, NgRx or equivalent state management.
  • Strong in UI development with HTML/CSS/Javascript
  • Web designing ideas and knowledge of latest trends is expected.            
  • Knowledge of Spring Boot, Hibernate or any ORM is an advantage
  • Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
  • Good experience with RESTful Webservices.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git      
  • Familiarity with PL/SQL
  • Exposure to CI pipelines (Jenkins) . Ability to debug build failures locally and in the pipeline.

Specific Qualifications:

  • Degree (BE/MCA/others) in Computer Science or relevant stream.
  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience in Angular
  • Basic knowledge of Java, Spring Boot
