About the job
- Securitised Products Group (SPG) covers Asset Backed Securities (ABS), Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) and Private Debt Financing. SPG advises corporate and institutional clients providing them with financing, risk transfer and capital markets access, through securitisation transactions across a range of asset classes
- The Client Adverse Information Analyst is responsible for proactively identifying, researching, and analysing adverse information related to existing and prospective clients (both natural persons in their capacity as directors or UBOs, and legal entities). The goal is to support the bank’s risk-based approach, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and mitigate reputational, legal, and financial exposure when making decisions to approve new transactions, renew or monitor existing ones
Your Main Activities Are
- Adverse Information Screening:
- Conduct systematic screening of clients against internal watch lists, public databases, media sources, sanction lists, and adverse news feeds
- Perform name matching, entity matching, and fuzzy logic checks using internal and / or external tools to capture variations and typographical errors
- Produce periodic monitoring reports (number/materiality of alerts)
- Investigation / Analysis:
- Gather, verify, and evaluate the reliability of source documents (e.g., court rulings, regulatory filings, press articles, discussion forums)
- Assess the materiality and relevance of adverse findings
- Ensure all adverse news screening activities comply with applicable regulations and internal policies
- Reporting / Escalation:
- Produce clear, concise risk assessments and recommendations (no issue identified, escalation to Origination, Coverage and Non-Financial Risk teams, Delegation Holders for further analysis)
- Document investigative steps, evidence sources, and conclusions
- Participate in internal audits, regulatory examinations, and control testing related to adverse information processes
Profile and Skills to Success
- Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Management,Economics or similar
- Up to 2 years of relevant professional experience
- Interest in Compliance / KYC / Client on boarding in a banking or financial services environment.
- Fluency in English and excellent communication skills
- Proficient use of Excel
- Investigative mindset
- Attention to detail with an analytical approach and ability to synthesise complex information
