Job Title: Assistant Vice President – Human Resources
Department: HR Risk & Controls and Legal Obligations
Position Purpose:
Be responsible for identifying, mapping, monitoring, and managing legal and regulatory obligations applicable to the organization. Ensure that the business remains compliant with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies by maintaining comprehensive obligations register and partnering with internal stakeholders to implement the necessary controls.
Responsibilities
Labour Law Compliance
- Liaise with Labour Law Consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure compliances as required under various Labour Laws (new registrations, renewal / amendment of licenses and registration certificates, filing statutory returns, maintain register and records, statutory payments, notice board display updation for all entities, labour inspection, etc).
- Maintain repository of all important documents like Registration license, statutory returns, payment challan, register and records, notices, abstracts, etc.
- Attend labour inspections and notices. Coordinate with Labour Law Consultants and internal stakeholders to collate and submit required documents and details to close the notices and inspections for all Entities. Update respective stakeholders about the status of inspections/notices on timely basis.
- Analyse and highlight the risk to Management along with advise on mitigating factors to reduce or avoid the risk to the organization.
- Coordinate with respective stakeholders for completing various controls and audits performed by internal teams (Compliance, OPC, Risk ORC, legal, IG, etc).
- Liaise with Labour Law Consultants and internal teams / stakeholders to carry out Vendor audit and Entity audit, Surprise inspections on quarterly basis.
- Maintain repository of contract staff for all entities. Timely reporting of contract staff as required under Contract Labour (CLRA) Act.
- Prepare MIS reports and publish dashboard on timely basis.
GDPR
- Lead GDPR and DPDP compliance initiatives across HR verticals
- Develop, review and update Record of Processing Activities (ROPA’s), privacy policies, procedures and controls aligned with GDPR and DPDP requirements
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA’s) and Privacy Risk Assessments Questionnaire (PAQ’s)
- Advise stakeholders on obligations under both regulations including lawful processing, consent management and data subject rights.
- Responsible for the management and implementation of PDP processes and KPIs locally.
- Deploys local awareness plans on the PDP topics.
- Liaise with local stakeholders to implement and update PDP local processes on an ongoing basis.

Specific Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of experience along with Bachelor's Degree - Candidate with LLB / LLM degree/ relevant experience in handling Labour Law Compliances will be preferred.
