VIE – Actuary – Oosterhout M/F

What will your daily work look like?

As a VIE Actuary, you will be integrated into the actuarial team made up of experts based in the Netherlands and Belgium. You will work closely with the claims, IT, commercial and accounting teams.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining risk‑monitoring dashboards in Python / Power BI to analyse production and claims experience.
  • Conducting technical studies in Python (pandas, statsmodels), particularly using generalized linear models (Poisson / logistic regressions).
  • Participating in the development of a new reserving tool in Python, including methodological analysis and rewriting code currently used in other languages.
  • Contributing to the automation of existing processes related to regulatory reporting (Solvency 2, IFRS‑like).
  • Collaborating with various business teams to secure and improve technical production.

You will work in an environment open to many actuarial topics (risk monitoring, solvency, technical analyses…). The position offers true autonomy within a stimulating multicultural environment.

A workplace that matters

BNP Paribas is the leading bank in the European Union and a major international player present in 65 countries. The Group supports individuals, companies and institutions daily with a strong ambition: contributing to a more sustainable, innovative and responsible economy.

You will join the Assurance Business Unit, within the actuarial teams responsible for analyzing risks, supporting technical performance and driving transformation of management tools. The position is based in Oosterhout (Netherlands) in an international collaborative environment.

What’s next?

This VIE assignment will allow you to develop comprehensive actuarial expertise, ranging from technical analysis to advanced programming, as well as understanding the economic management of an insurer.

Throughout the assignment, you will strengthen your skills in modelling, regulatory reporting, data visualization and understanding disability risk—one of the most complex insurance risks on the market.

This experience will serve as a springboard toward positions such as confirmed actuary, risk analyst or data scientist in the insurance sector, either within BNP Paribas or other international environments.
