Position Purpose
FXMM Derivative Back Office is responsible for the day-to-day settlement for Derivative products and Money Market. Team operates in close collaboration with marketers, sales and other internal function teams (APAC & EMEA) to offer client-first post trade services. Team members are generally assigned with two or three Markets.
Responsibilities
- To process payment for Value date and Value date -1, ensure all the payments are cleared.
- To create Manual Payment and able to Authorize High value payment from SWIFT Alliance
- Ensure that all Corporate/Inter-bank trades are processed and approved in a timely manner
- Trade Settlement with onshore/offshore clients
- Review critical control reports for manual settlement or processing.
- Perform EOD reconciliations
- Cash management related with funding trades
- Troubleshoot potential operational problems and resolve issues
- Assist with other staff members in the daily operation requirements
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including traders, sales, and risk management
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and drive operational excellence
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Must have at least 15 years of total experience in Investment Banking operations, with at least 5 years in FXMM and OTC derivatives
- Expert knowledge on Swift Message Types: MT103, MT202 Payment and MTMX Messages.
- Excellent knowledge of FXMM and OTC derivatives products and processes
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Experience with operations technology and systems is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field
