Job Title: Senior Reactive Java & Spring Boot Engineer

Position Purpose: 

We are looking for a developer who will balance Spring Boot 4.0, Java 25, and Reactive Programming (Webflux), a "Backend" specialist.

The developer will be integrated to an agile squad under a techlead supervision and in coordination with QA players.

The purpose is to build a service layer intermediating a SaaS offering solution of BNP Paribas IT Group with high levels of expectations (performance, stability, resilience, code quality, security)

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications on cloud platforms 
• Collaborate with SaaS offering team and others
• Develop high-quality, scalable, and secure software applications using Java, Spring
• Participate in code reviews and ensure that the codebase is maintainable, efficient, and adheres to industry standards 
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and collaborate with other engineers to resolve complex problems 
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, contract interfaces, user manuals, and release notes  
• Maintenance of DevOps pipelines, collaborating with iOps and DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications
• Collaboration with the squad to identify and prioritize project requirements
• Participation in agile rituals of the team (agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives)

Contributing Responsibilities

Education Level: Master degree or equivalent

Location: Chennai but most probably an onboarding (3-6 weeks) in Nanterre (France) or Porto/Lisbon (Portugal) – Working hours = CET timezone as much as possible
