A key component of BNP Paribas’ CIB Global Banking division, the Global Trade Solutions (GTS) business line gathers all the Trade Finance and Working Capital Solutions offered to large Corporates across the world. Relying on a global network of more than 300 experts who provide local offers and tailored on-the-ground expertise, this franchise is ranked among the top three globally, and number one in Europe.

Among the fastest growing solutions offered by GTS, the Supply Chain Management (SCM) products are used by large BNP Paribas Corporate clients to optimise their working capital positions (i.e. accelerating the conversion of receivables to cash, extending payment terms), to mitigate the payment risk, or to diversify their sources of funding, at a competitive cost.

The SCM Team is located in Paris and Dublin, with BNP Paribas Dublin acting as the centre of expertise and the primary hub for structuring, booking and managing the SCM transactions in Europe.

 

Key Responsibilities

The main missions of the Implementation Manager are:

  • To be a leading actor in the structuring of Supply Chain transactions, working alongside the SCM Marketers, from pitching to execution of the contracts; 
  • To be a proficient user of the Bank’s Connexis Supply Chain (CSC) digital platform in order to be able to structure the most suitable technical solutions for our Clients, and for the Bank;  
  • To lead the implementation of the Supply Chain transactions, on our CSC platform, as well as on the platforms provided by our Fintech partners; 
  • To ensure a proper coordination between the various Front Office teams (BNP Paribas entities throughout Europe and beyond, or other Financial Institutions) involved; but also across all the key support teams (Legal, Finance, Tax, IT and Operations (ITO) departments).

 

Roles and responsibilities:
Origination and Structuring:

  • Alongside the SCM Marketers, participates in consultation and meetings with our large corporate Clients in relation to structuring and operational aspects of new transactions
  • Provides presentations and training to Clients and other Front Officers. Be a key stakeholder in commercial and technical discussions for new and existing Third Platform discussions 
  • Leads the implementation of Supply Chain transactions. In liaison with product managers and ITO teams, ensures that the parameters and features of the CSC platform reflects the approved commercial structure
  • Participates in structuring the responses to RFIs and RFPs

 

Credit & Internal process: 

  • Co-draft the GTS credit memos with the SCM Marketers. Reviews the technical aspects of the transaction and participates in all aspects of the commercial structuring (credit, pricing, collaterals, syndication, etc.) 
  • Makes sure all credit approvals are obtained and all conditions of credit decisions are met. Prepares full Transaction Packages (credit, legal, insurance, etc.) and ensures proper transmission to key support teams, notably to the credit MO teams.
  • Arrange and participate in Product or Transaction Approval Committees.  , explaining the proposed structure to key stakeholders, and ensuring all conditions are met. Coordinates the framing of operational processes with middle-office (MO) and back-office (BO) teams

 

Oversee client transactions once in production: 

  • Continue, alongside Coverage and SCM Paris, to manage the client relationship throughout the life of the transaction. This may include, but not limited to, annual transaction reviews, implementation of transactional changes and serving as the Dublin point of escalation for any stakeholders. 
  • Leads and / or contributes to ongoing Business Projects. Participates in process streamlining initiatives led by Paris or Dublin IT and Operational        teams
  • Contributes to the ongoing enhancement of CSC platform in connection with the Product Managers & ITO teams
  • Trains and supports junior colleagues / newcomers in developing their skillset

 

Qualifications & Experience required for this role

  • 5+ years’ experience 
  • Good balance between client focused and risk awareness approach
  • Excellent communication skills in person, by phone and in writing, excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the business, to clients and external service providers
  • Team player and team leading
  • Logical and analytical skills with strong problem solving capabilities
  • An organised approach to work with good attention to details
  • Ability to deliver within tight timeframes and work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a multi-cultural environment
  • Knowledge / Experience of client-facing platforms is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools notably Excel 
  • Fluent English & French required.
