About the job


  • The Loan Servicing Supervisor has the mission to be responsible for providing technical support on operational and systems issues (management of complex transaction, remediation on specific issues, etc.) being a reference in the use of various tools in use for Loan Management. In addition, the Loan Servicing Supervisor ensures the organisation of the activity in the absence of the Team Leader, while actively supporting training in the team


Your Main Activities Are


  • Manage and promote good relationships between GBO and stakeholders: focus on providing solutions and operational assistance with accurate and useful operational insight to team members, internal and external clients
  • Train and actively foster newcomer development by providing technical guidance and enable developement of all team members skills
  • Follow the activity closely, by monitoring volumes evolution, workloads, recurring issues and present solutions as well as ideas for improvement
  • Support management in all operational activity and also on the transversal projects when required. In addition, participate actively in all projects developed within the Department and BNP Paribas Portugal
  • Monitor, report and mitigate the operational risk for all cases that the team is involved
  • Provide suggestions to improve processes and procedures
  • Autonomously and consistently deliver high quality analysis, exhibiting problem solving capacity in the most complex cases. In addition, answer proactively and when delegated to first level escalations with technical accuracy
  • Actively contribute to approval of transactions (Loan IQ, Plasma, MTM and Topaze)
  • Perform controls and provide information related to controls
  • Take simple decisions in the absence of the Team Leader and report to direct hierarchy any event that might impact the activity. For example, reply to queries related to operational daily topics (excluding HR), be able to prioritize tasks within the team members, be able to identify errors and perform corrective plans, be able to support on projects when requested and be able to lead monthly operational meetings with Beneficiaries


Profile and Skills to Success


  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting
  • From 3 to 4 years of Banking and Financial Operations
  • Fluent (C1-C2) level of English
  • Attention to detail / rigor 
  • Organisational skills
  • Good communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Ability to share / pass on knowledge
  • Knowledge of Risk Management 
  • Analytical ability, namely in Excel
