Provide accurate, timely and value‑added support for the CRF(Credit Repo Financing)/ TRS (Total Return Swap) desk by managing trade booking, life‑cycle events, client‑facing inquiries and periodic processes, while continuously improving tools and procedures.
Your Main Activities Are
* Manually book client bond, loan and total return swap trades on the trade date.
* Process trade life‑cycle events such as cashless rolls, corporate actions, tranche splits, amendments and cancellations
* Record monthly reset amounts, pay‑down calculations and fee accruals accurately.
* Respond to front‑office queries about cash‑flow reconciliation, position reports, settlement issues and SWIFT
* Produce daily and weekly operational reports for traders and sales staff
* Coordinate with loan middle‑office and back‑office teams to resolve settlement mismatches and payment breaks
* Participate in regular cross‑functional calls on settlement reviews and month‑end closing
* Document standard operating procedures and support internal audit activities
* Identify repetitive tasks and develop automation tools using VBA or Python to improve efficiency
Profile and Skills To Success
* Bachelor Degree in Business, Economics, Finance and Mathematics or any similar areas
* Up to 2 years of experience on Financial Markets, Credit Products, REPO, Total Return Swaps and Fee Reconciliation
* Fluency in English, both oral and written
* Great verbal and written communication skills with many stakeholders
* Great escalation and problem-solving mindset, as well as continuous improvement skills
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Trading Assistant team is the operational backbone of the Credit Repo Financing and Total Return Swap business. Based in Lisbon, the team supports traders, salespeople and loan managers. The role involves close collaboration with front‑office, middle‑office and back‑office partners to ensure a smooth trade‑to‑settlement process and to continuously improve tools and procedures.
