About the job

  • Being part of the RISK Market and Financial Institutions (MFI) Data Management and Integrity team, you will be responsible for ensuring that BNPP's data is accurate, complete, reliable, and fit for its intended use. This role bridges the gap between raw data engineering and business intelligence, implementing a robust data quality framework to detect, report, and remediate data anomalies. This ensures data supports accurate reports to the Board and regulators and delivers better results for customers and the business. You will also contribute to the Monitoring of the Credit Process for Financial Institutions, such as EWI, ESG, WL/DD and so on

 

Your Main Activities Are

  • Build a robust credit risk data quality framework aligned with the Group data requirements, as well as design and follow-up data quality indicators
  • Ensure the mastering of the data quality as defined by the Group, in alignment with regulators, internal audit, and procedures
  • Define and implement Key Quality Indicators (KQIs) based on the six dimensions of data quality: Accuracy, Completeness, Consistency, Timeliness, Validity, and Uniqueness
  • Investigate the source of data errors (for example, upstream system bugs, manual entry errors) and collaborate with engineers to fix them
  • Be responsible for the credit process monitoring by building, understanding, reporting, and challenging the Key Activity Indicators results related to Financial Institutions
  • Follow the data governance in place by actively contributing to the credit risk data operational committee and attending other committees related to data quality
  • Work with the Data Governance office to ensure data adheres to corporate policies and regulatory requirements (for example, BCBS 239)
  • Liaise with project teams, and other business areas to share knowledge on the activities undertaken within the data governance teams with relevant stakeholders across BNPP
  • Reinforce the adoption of a data-driven culture by promoting awareness, education and advocacy of data governance principles, tools and best practice across all levels and business areas in BNPP

 

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Bachelor Degree in Economics / Finance / Accounting or related
  • At least 5 years of experience in Risk and Controls or similar
  • Advanced level of English, both written and oral
  • Knowledge in MS Office Excel and Python
  • Attention to detail / rigour
  • Ability to deliver / results driven
  • Ability to collaborate / teamwork
  • Ability to develop and adapt a process
  • Analytical ability
  • Organisational skills

 

About the Team

  • Risk Markets and Financial Institutions acts as a second level of control and is responsible for market, counterparty, and liquidity risks of Global Markets and Securities Services Business Lines and for credit risk on all Financial Institutions including Market Infrastructures and Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Intragroup entities
