About Business line/Function:

ISPL Compliance Hub as a department was established in November 2013 at ISPL in Mumbai, India with the hire of a department head. The ISPL team provides support on compliance administrative level tasks to BNPP compliance teams globally. The scope of work includes offshoring administrative and Level I support to functions such as:

  • Training Support
  • Capital Markets Surveillance
  • Employee Personal Account Dealing
  • Electronic Communications Surveillance
  • Offshoring/Outsourcing Coordination 
  • Projects & System Support 
  • Sanction/KYC Support
  • AML Post transaction monitoring Support

Position Purpose

ISPL Compliance Hub is focused to protect the reputation of the Group and effectively manage risk across all business areas by providing support to various Compliance functions. At present the department is broadly organized into divisions which embed into the areas they support to provide services for Global Compliance Training, Capital Markets Surveillance, Electronic Communication Surveillance, Transversal Risk Management (TRM), Compliance Migrations Co-Ordination, Personal Account Dealing, MIS and Projects support. The team works closely with business partners in CIB and the wider group.  

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  1. Execution of Compliance controls or independent testing
  • Conduct thorough control testing of Market Integrity topics such as Best Execution, Benchmarks, Control room processes, etc.     
  • Conduct controls over a across a broad range of compliance topics such as Protection of Client Interest, Banking Structural Reform or Regulatory Reporting.
  • Communicate review results to concerned stakeholders, identify corrective actions, escalate potential issues and exceptions to ensure risk robust risk mitigation.
  1. Support the Compliance Independent Testing Team- Data Management and Reporting
  • Manage and maintain all data related to Compliance Independent Testing team’s planned reviews and review results in the respective tools or golden sources (Including data creation, maintenance, sanity checks, consolidation and reporting)
  • Independently prepare high quality data for Local, Regional and Global stakeholders to meet reporting requests from Management. 
  • Collaborate closely with Group stakeholders to develop and formalize reporting solutions via Group tool, to ensure quality reporting of compliance review results in relation to business’ controls results
  • Continuously and proactively identify opportunities to refine and streamline reporting framework to elevate quality of risk and control result reporting

  • Contribute to other ad-hoc transversal tasks as required

  • Basic knowledge on AI and python preferred

 

 

Specific Qualifications (if required)

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
  2. o   Compliance, Audit, risk Management experience or qualifications in finance.
