Job Title: Associate– SCS Equity and Mutual Fund

Department: WM - Operations

Business Line / Function: Wealth Management

Wealth Management Operations in ISPL started in 2018, provide back-office services for BNP WM Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Processes include Security Custody Services, Remittances, Loans and Deposits and Security Masterfile 

Position Purpose

The Securities Settlement Specialist is responsible for:

·         Processing the daily operations of WM activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

·         Monitoring settlement fails, investigating root causes, and executing remediation actions.

·         Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

·         Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

·         This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative approach to support the team in maintaining seamless trust operations.

Responsibilities:

Direct Responsibilities

Coordinate with counterparties on the settlement of trades for Equities and Mutual Funds. 

Process instructions to various custodians for settlement. 

Liaise with Front Office / dealers on necessary documentation for trade settlement processing. 

Update clients’ positions in the system. 

Follow up and monitor the progress of late and failed trades. 

Update the status of failed trades/transfers by the stipulated settlement date. 

Compute, advise, and debit clients’ accounts for relevant trade charges. Update the waiver file if fees are waived. 

Handle queries on trade processing from the Front Office.

Ensure procedures and control measures are strictly adhered to. 

Perform reconciliation of daily documents received from LBS with their Control Checklist. 

Prepare management reports, e.g., quarterly failed trade reports.

Specific Qualifications:

Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (3 years) in Business, Finance, or a related field.

Experience Level: At least 3-5 year of relevant experience in a similar domain.
