Job Title: Cybersecurity Analyst

Department: CIB ITO - Production - Domain - Production Security - Identity & Access Management - Controls - ISPL - India (BNPP ISPL)

About Business line/Function: 

The Intermediate Holding Company (“IHC”) program structured at the U.S. level across poles of activities of BNP Paribas provides guidance, supports the analysis, impact assessment and drives adjustments of the U.S. platform’s operating model due to the drastic changes introduced by the Enhanced Prudential Standards (“EPS”) for Foreign Banking Organizations (“FBOs”) finalized by the Federal Reserve in February 2014, implementing Section 165 of U.S Dodd-Frank Act.

The Data Office Team is part of the Information Technology Group which works simultaneously on a wide range of projects arising from business, strategic initiatives, regulatory changes and reengineering of existing applications to improve functionality and efficiency.

Position Purpose: 

The role will report to the Data Management Lead and will be primarily responsible for implementation and ongoing governance of an enterprise Business Glossary as a definitive dictionary of business terms and relationships used across the enterprise. The definitions must be designed to engender a common understanding of the term for all stakeholders involved in data governance and Regulatory reporting teams.

The position requires working in a virtual team and international environment and is multidisciplinary in nature. It involves coordination with other locations and divisions of BNP Paribas as necessary. It is important that the candidate should have strong financial products knowledge along with high analytical skills and attention to details.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

Execute controls as per defined SOP’s.

Identify control gaps from the control execution process. 

Analyze control gaps and prepare data for remediation (follow-up and escalation)

Manage escalations as per defined matrix, follow-up on remediation with end users.

Collaborate with regional stakeholders on control effectiveness.

Generate KPI’s/KRI’s on the executed controls. 

Contribute to the audit and compliance queries from regions.

Contributing Responsibilities

Stay Up-to-date with the latest Cybersecurity trends, updates and industry best practices.

Identify & highlight control execution challenges if any. 

Do a regular catch-up with regional stakeholders to keep them updated on the BAU. 

Collaborate with CCCO and regional risk teams to understand expectations on control execution

Understand the challenges on control execution and provide options on resolution.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

10+ years’ experience in cyber / information security.

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity.

Control execution experience is preferred.

Good understanding on different IT and cyber / info security controls. 

Well versed on cybersecurity domains like Infrastructure security, IT risk management, third party risk assessments, firewall reviews, application security, privilege access management (PAM), SIEM, password security etc. 

Experience with Windows/ UNIX platforms in large heterogeneous environment.

Should also have a strong background in Information Security policies, procedures, standards & guidelines.

Specific Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

    • Infrastructure security
    • IT risk management
    • Privilege access management 

Behavioral Skills: 

    • Good verbal and written communication
    • Should have clear understanding of topics and is able to articulate it well to a larger audience
    • Fluent in English language (verbal, reading and writing)

Education Level: B.E. (Comp/ECE/EEE) / MCA/ MSc IT
