About this opportunity


We are looking for a strong addition to our commercial team in the Nordics to support us expanding our client base notably on the buy-side (asset owners, asset managers, alternative investors). We are looking for a Nordic candidate with proven sales skills, strong access to decision makers at major Nordic buy-side institutions and experience in working effectively in cross-border organisations. 

 

This is a unique opportunity to 2S, as we build out our presence in key domestic markets in Europe, with significant further investments planned in the years to come. 

 

The role is located in Stockholm or Copenhagen and will report to Thorsten Gommel, Head of Securities Services Germany, Austria, Netherlands and Nordics, based in Frankfurt and locally to Eirik Winter, CEO Nordic Region, based in Stockholm.


Main scope of the role

Drive client engagement with a view at generating sustainable business growth at buy-side clients (asset owners, asset managers, alternative investor), in line with business strategy and fully taking risks into account.

 

What you will do

  • Contribute to the definition of 2S strategy by providing superior insight on industry trends & client dynamics 
  • Articulate and maintain portfolio of targeted opportunities, in line with business strategy 
  • Contribute to an efficient and effective Client Development organisation & governance, aligned with business strategy and priorities 
  • Define new sales, revenue retention and client satisfaction targets and steer progress vs those targets 
  • Reinforce client intimacy with key strategic clients 
  • Drive selective sales efforts with a view to maximise 2S profitability and fully taking risks into account and client selectiveness  
  • Ensure client strategies are properly documented and aligned with business strategy (relevant product mix to maximise client profitability) and client selectivity guidelines 
  • Identify the need for sales campaigns and drive their execution 
  • Contribute to an effective and consistent RFP management across the region 
  • Drive client & business retention with a view at minimising revenue losses and maximising profitability 
  • Ensure best-in-class client experience by assessing and driving the improvement of client satisfaction levels 
  • Maximise cross-selling opportunities by fostering an inclusive client dialogue, promoting the one-bank approach and fostering the collaboration with Financial Institutions Coverage 
  • Ensure continuous improvement of client profitability through notably annual review of client EVC 
  • Ensure full adhesion to:  
  1. Compliance, Financial Security & Risk policies 
  2. Regulatory obligations 
  3. Conduct principles, including close follow-up on potential Conduct issues 
  4. Standard 2S processes & procedures such as pricing and business acceptance processes. 
  • Develop market relationships and relationship with strategic industry influencers and share internally relevant information 
  • Act as ambassador / senior representative of the Bank in front of clients  
  • Act as advocate towards global Client Lines, global Client Delivery, global and local Functions 


Relevant experience and requirements

  • Master’s degree in business administration, economics, engineering or equivalent relevant education 
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant working experience in Securities Services  
  • Previous experience in consulting, fintech, asset management or Corporate and / or Investment banking industry 
  • Ability to leverage a large network at an BNP Paribas Head Office and regional entities  
  • Self-starter, organised, results-driven, diligent and persistent 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Fluent in a Nordic language, preferably Swedish or Danish, as well as English. 
  • Ability to maneuver in a large, complex global organisation
